What is left before launch.

The site is built and working. Before it goes live on your domain, these are the decisions to make together, the details only you can supply, and the checks we run on the way out.

Three decisions to make together

Where your leads go

Every form submission is already saved on the server, with the contractor’s details and their answer on text messages. The email alert that should land in your inbox is the part still to switch on.

To decide

  • Which email address receives new leads, and who else gets a copy
  • Whether the contractor gets an automatic confirmation after sending the form
  • Whether leads should also go into a CRM you already use

The site saves each lead before it sends the email, so a failed email never loses one.

Setting up Resend, the service that sends the email

  1. Create a Resend account at resend.com with a business email address.
  2. Add your domain. Resend lists a few DNS records, for signing and sending, to add wherever the domain is registered. We can add them with access to that account.
  3. Wait for “verified”, then create an API key with sending access.
  4. Share the key safely. Enter it in the hosting settings yourself, or send it through a password manager. Please do not email or text it.
  5. Test it together. We switch the alert on, send a test lead, and check it lands in your inbox rather than spam.

Hosting: with us, or on your own

Host with NVZN

We run the server and its security certificate, keep backups, apply updates, and keep the lead form and its storage working. Changes go through us. Monthly cost to be agreed.

Take the files

We hand over the complete site: source code, a built copy and setup notes. The host has to run Node.js, because the lead form is live server code, and has to keep leads on permanent storage. Basic hosting that only serves static pages will not run the form as built. Your side then looks after the server, certificate, backups and updates.

To decide: which option, and who the technical contact is.

Your domain

  • The site is built for dgprecisepermitting.com. Confirm it, and who holds the login where it is registered.
  • If a website already runs on that domain, we list its pages so old links forward to the new site.
  • DNS access is needed twice: to point the domain at the site, and for the Resend records.

Details only you can supply

Business facts

  • The business name exactly as it should appear
  • Phone, email and office address. The site shows stand-ins today: (239) 276-1803 and hello@dgprecisepermitting.com
  • Business hours
  • The counties and cities to list as your service area

Engineering credentials

The site describes engineering services, so both numbers must be real before it goes live.

  • License number of the responsible professional engineer
  • Certificate of Authorization number for the firm

About page

  • Your name and a photo
  • A short bio: years in the trade, prior roles, licenses held, and why you started the business

Logo and photography

  • The logo as a vector file (SVG, AI or EPS), for print and signage
  • Real photos: a portrait and a few job sites

Proof, if you want it on the site

  • Testimonials or project examples, each with written permission from that client

What NVZN handles before go-live

  • Switch on the lead email, then force a failed send to prove the lead is still saved
  • Confirm saved leads survive restarts and redeploys on the chosen hosting
  • Add the live domain to the form’s allowed addresses; the form rejects submissions from any address not on the list
  • Add security headers, together with whichever tracking you choose
  • Test every page on a phone and a desktop, then send a real inquiry on the live domain
  • Submit the sitemap to Google, and forward any old website pages to their new addresses
  • Remove this page and its footer link

Review together

  • Walk through every page and note any copy changes
  • Watch the homepage film on your own phone
  • Send one test through the contact form and confirm the lead arrives
  • Approve the final version for launch
