SMS Terms & Conditions

Effective September 2, 2026

These terms cover the text messages DG Precise Permitting & Engineering sends. They apply to anyone who checks the text-message box on the contact form on this site.

In short: you ask to be texted, we text you about your inquiry or your permit, and you can stop at any time by replying STOP.

1. What this program is

This is a customer-care messaging program. If you inquire through this site and check the box, we may reply by text about that inquiry: answering a question, confirming a detail, telling you a permit status changed, or arranging a time to talk.

It is a conversation, not a campaign. We do not run promotional text blasts, we do not send recurring marketing messages, and we do not add anyone to a texting list.

2. How you opt in

The only way to join is to select the text-message checkbox yourself on the contact form on this site. It is unchecked by default.

Checking it is optional. You can submit the form without it, and it is not a condition of doing business with us or of anything you buy. If you leave it unticked, we will reply by email or phone instead.

We never add a number from any other source: not a purchased list, not a business card, not a referral, and not a permit application. If we do not have a record of you checking that box, we do not text you.

A number that appears on a permit document is there for the permit, not for messaging. It is not treated as consent.

3. What you will receive, and how often

Messages about the inquiry you sent or the permit you asked us to handle: replies to your questions, a status change on a submittal, a correction that needs your input, scheduling for a call or an inspection.

Message frequency varies, because it depends on the job. There is no fixed number and no scheduled send. A quiet permit generates almost none; one in a correction cycle generates more.

4. What it costs

We do not charge for text messages. Message and data rates may apply from your own mobile carrier, depending on your plan.

5. How to stop

Reply STOP to any message. You will receive one confirmation that you have been unsubscribed, and then nothing further.

You can also just tell us: reply in your own words, email, or call, and we will stop.

Stopping texts does not stop the work. We will simply reach you by phone or email instead, and it does not affect your permit or your standing with us in any way.

If you want to start again later, tell us and we will re-enrol you. We will not re-add you on our own.

6. How to get help

Reply HELP to any message and you will get contact details back.

You can also reach us directly using the details on the contact page.

7. Carriers and delivery

Message delivery depends on your mobile carrier and on conditions outside our control. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Do not rely on a text message as the only notice of a deadline. If something is time-critical to your permit, we will also reach you by phone or email.

Supported carriers include AT&T, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, US Cellular, and most smaller and regional carriers. Carrier support can change without notice.

8. We do not share your mobile information

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Your phone number and your text-message consent are not sold, rented, traded or passed on. They are used only so that we can reach you.

Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

9. Privacy

What we collect, why, and how long we keep it is set out in the Privacy Policy. Your mobile number is handled under those terms, with the additional protections in section 8 above.

10. Age

This program is for construction businesses and is not directed at anyone under 18. Please do not opt in if you are under 18.

11. Changes to these terms

If this program changes, the updated terms are posted here with a new effective date. Material changes to how messages are sent will be communicated before they take effect.
